Dear Colleagues,
We would like to express our wholehearted support and solidarity with your strike actions for you in the fight for justice and against the dismantling of the academic profession. It should be obvious that academics deserve the pensions we have been working for, that we need decent work conditions in which we can perform their work well. It should be – but it is not, instead, we are faced with the relentless erosion of everything that defines our profession and makes it meaningful.
Citing the Polish striking workers from August 1980, we wish you solidarity and patience from the bottom of our hearts!
